Liberal Studies Advising Guide/Checklist
Students interested in Liberal Studies have a choice of how they develop their major. Begin by reviewing the overview of liberal studies majors and exploring the pre-designed themes or exploring themes you will design yourself for your Plan of Study (Major).
Advising Process for Liberal Studies Majors
Upon admission to OSU-Cascades, you are ready to begin a three-step advising process:
- Meet with an OSU-Cascades Academic Advisor at New Student Orientation. At this session, you will plan your first term's schedule, as well as receive an overview of your degree requirements and a transfer credit evaluation (if transfer credits exist). Follow up with the Academic Advisor for additional advising.
- Connect with your Academic Advisor for Bacc Core and CLA Core advising. Make sure you get cleared for registration at COCC and get your Term Registration PIN for OSU courses.
- Continue to meet with your Academic Advisor to develop and finalize your Plan of Study. Make an appointment before next term registration begins. You must finalize 2 terms after you declare LS major.
