OSU English Department Chooses OSU-Cascades student as University-wide Schwartz Award Winner

"The Mysterious Life," an essay by Michele DeSilva, exploring the connections between Moby Dick and the Narcissus myth, has won her the 2005-06 Schwartz Award. Michele's essay was produced in her Studies in the Novel course, taught by Dr. Neil Browne, at OSU-Cascades. Hers was selected from essays produced by peers on both the Cascades and Corvallis campuses.

Cascades Student Chosen for Oregon State University WIC Culture Award

Erica Dietz and Amanda Deney were chosen for the 2006-07 WIC Culture of Writing Award in Liberal Studies.

Robyn Lopez-Melton was chosen for the 2005-06 WIC Culture of Writing Award in Liberal Studies this year for her paper entitled "A Woman's Roles". The essay was written for Dr. Jim Foster's OSU-Cascades Politics and Gender class.
