Dr. Ron Reuter
Dr. Matt Shinderman
Ron Reuter is a faculty member of the Forest Resources Department and teaches courses for OSU Cascades and OSU Ecampus. Ron arrived in Central Oregon in January of 2003 from a lecture position at Humboldt State University in Northern California. He holds a Ph.D. in Soil Science/Water Resources from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. in Soil Science from the University of Idaho and a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State University. He has worked as a Landscape Ecologist for the US EPA in NC and Stillwater Sciences in Arcata, CA. Currently, Ron is engaged in research in the areas of effective distance education technology and impacts of western juniper management on soil ecosystems.

Matthew J Shinderman, Ph.D. - Instructor, Natural Resources
Matt Shinderman teaches courses in the Natural Resources Program at OSU-Cascades Campus. He has taught courses ranging from introductory natural resource conservation and management to capstone landscape level management courses at Utah State, Colorado State, and Oregon State universities. Matt's primary academic interests include a broad range of topics within the fields of sustainability, sustainable community development, biofuels, and community-based ecosystem management. Off campus Matt is a professional fly-fishing guide, and enjoys backpacking, telemark skiing, and all manner of outdoor pursuits with his wife and companion, Cindy Brennan.
