General Social Science (BA/BS)
In the General Social Science major, students learn to think critically and logically, communicate clearly, and work creatively. This is accomplished by taking courses across a wide range of perspectives, including sociology, geography, political science, anthropology, economics, and history. In addition, the major requires students to take courses in the methods and tools of the social sciences. This gives students skills in social research, which prepares them for graduate education and work with survey organizations, planning departments, and other fields.
