Attend a workshop on getting more money for college or choosing the right major. Find out how to become a student leader. All this and more. Free snacks and lunch will be provided throughout OSU-Cascades Fall Kick-off Weeks.

Money for College: Get your financial aid questions answered

Meet in the computer lab for a quick review of the OSU-Cascades financial aid/scholarship application process and then an opportunity for you to log-in and check on the status of your financial aid. OSU students bring your OSU ID number and your OSU GAP. UO students bring your UO ID number and your UO PAC.

Take the time to step into this workshop designed to facilitate some initial steps to choosing a major at OSU-Cascades. Take a closer look at what majors are available and how they relate to your career goals. Understand what Career Services are available to you at OSU-Cascades. Begin to think about your interest, values, passions, and skills and how they relate to your decision.
Cascades Adventures: Kicking off its Weekly Meetings

Interested in getting outside to recreate in Central Oregon's open spaces and beautiful places and getting practical experience as a leader. Cascades Adventures will be hosting it's first weekly meetings where students will "Choose Their Own Adventure" for the Fall quarter. Come help us create a schedule of outdoor adventures that you want to try this fall. Whether you're just getting started or you're a seasoned outdoor person, come and see what you're missing out on.
Online Tools to Make Your Life Easier

In this hands-on workshop we’ll check out free
programs designed to help you organize group projects, keep track of citations,
keyword-search books, conduct polls and surveys and all kinds of other useful
(and fun!) stuff. Applications we’ll look at might include Zotero, Google
Groups, Google Books, Flickr, Picnik, Wufoo, Survey Monkey, Delicious, Doodle,
or even Facebook apps that let you get some work done in between SuperPoking
and Scrabble games. Everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be a computer whiz
to use any of these programs.
Steps to Student Success and Leadership Opportunities

Should universities be a life changing experience? We think so! If you want to learn how to be successful academically and grow personally to become a leader in your chosen career, this workshop is for you. We will focus on ways to partner academic success with leadership experience through involvement opportunities at OSU-Cascades. Student government leaders will share their expertise and stories.

For those students who can't make it to the Monday meeting, Cascades Adventures will be hosting a second weekly meeting where students can still "Choose Their Own Adventure" for the Fall quarter. Come help us create a schedule of outdoor adventures that you want to try this fall. Whether you're just getting started or you're a seasoned outdoor person, come and see what you're missing out on. This meeting will also host a pre-trip information session for the fifth annual South Sister summit Salmon Celebration taking place Saturday October 4th.
Fall Festival and Lunch Event

We will celebrate Constitution Day on Wednesday, October 1st. Come by
and check out some facts regarding the Constitution that you may not
know. This event will be held in the courtyard along with the Fall
