Matt Shinderman
Instructor, Natural Resources
Matt teaches courses ranging from endangered species ecology to environmental politics and policy. His scholarly interests include sustainability, ecological assessment of urban landscapes, ecological restoration and dimensions of green building consumers. Matt received his doctorate from Colorado State University where he studied ecosystem management at the wildland/urban interface, and his M.S. from Utah State University where he studied restoration of degraded sagebrush communities. He is an active member of the community, currently serving on the Bend 2030 and Upper Deschutes Mitigation and Enhancement boards, and is a regular volunteer for several local natural resource related programs. Matt is co-chair of the Oregon State University Sustainability Working Group, a faculty group charged with developing an undergraduate sustainability program for the university.
