“It’s in the Bag” Lecture on Green Consumerism Postponed
The Oregon State University - Cascades Campus upcoming lecture on Green Homes and Green Consumerism: What Does Green Really Mean?", originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, has been postponed until Wednesday, October 7.
The remaining lectures in the “It’s in the Bag” 2008-2009 series will proceed as scheduled:
“Sex and Sexuality are Sacred: So Let’s Talk about It,” a presentation about sexual behavior and relationships and the challenges we face as a culture will be presented by Daniel Stroud, Ph.D. of OSU-Cascades’ counseling program and Aylett Wright, host of KPOV’s Ask Aylett, on Wednesday, April 1.
“Scholarship 2.0 – Academic Research on the Wild Web,” will be presented by Kate Gronemyer, OSU-Cascades Instruction Librarian and Anne-Marie Deitering, the OSU Franklin McEdward Professor for Undergraduate Learning Initiatives on Wednesday, May 6. The presentation will explain how careful academic research and scholarship occur in the uncertain world of the World Wide Web.
Both talks take place at 12:00 p.m. in Cascades Hall. The presentations are free and the public is invited to join in and bring a brown bag lunch. Complimentary beverages will be offered. For more information visit www.OSUcascades.edu or contact 541-322-3100 or info@osucascades.edu.
