Condon to manage campus facilities and operations

John Condon, a civil engineer originally from Bend, was recently named facilities and operations manager of Oregon State University - Cascades, overseeing campus operations, facilities maintenance, parking management, security and  fleet maintenance.  As the campus expands, he will also serve as a construction project manager, overseeing project management, construction management and administration of campus architectural and engineering projects.   

Condon studied civil and environmental engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana.  For four years he worked as a structural engineer at KPFF Consulting in Los Angeles, California, designing hospitals, schools, hotels, and attractions at Universal Studios Theme Parks. 

Most recently, John worked for the Oregon Department of Transportation as the senior project manager in Bend, where he managed the design and construction of transportation projects for local agencies and the State, including bicycle and pedestrian projects, transit facilities, roads and bridges.

Condon represented ODOT on the Central Oregon Governor's Regional Solution Team.

He is a native of Bend, graduating from Mountain View High School.  Condon is a licensed civil engineer in Oregon and California.
