Information Sessions Scheduled for New Graduate Degree in Middle and High School Teaching
OSU-Cascades has expanded its graduate program in education to now include a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree that gives graduates the authorization to teach in middle and high schools. Students select a subject area endorsement in either language arts or social studies. A unique feature of the program is that students undertake coursework emphasizing ESOL studies. This 12-month, full-time, cohort model program will offer classes to its first cohort beginning in June 2009. The deadline to apply for the graduate program is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
Individuals interested in learning more about the program are invited to Information Sessions with the faculty and staff of the MAT program. Information Sessions will cover program requirements and admissions procedures, as well as the application process and deadlines. The sessions will be held in Cascades Hall; room numbers will be posted on the day of each session.
