OSU-Cascades Hosts Final Info Session Before Deadline for Graduate Counseling Program

OSU-Cascades invites individuals interested in pursuing a graduate degree in counseling to join the final Info Session prior to the February 1 deadline for applications.  The Info Session will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 with the faculty and staff of the Campus’ Master of Science in Counseling program.

OSU-Cascades’ graduate counseling program prepares students for a career as a licensed counselor, and provides the theory and practice for graduates to deliver professional counseling services in a clinical or school setting.  The CACREP nationally accredited program begins in June and offers full and part-time options, with all classes taking place at the Bend campus.

Students elect to concentrate in either school or mental health clinical counseling and as part of the curriculum, devote 18 months to field experience in a public school or community agency setting.  Since the program’s inception in 2006, OSU-Cascades has awarded degrees in counseling to 51 graduates in Central Oregon.

The Information Session will cover program requirements and admission procedures, as well as the application process and deadlines.  The sessions will be held in Cascades Hall on the OSU-Cascades campus on College Way in Bend.  Counseling classes begin in June 2010.

Reservations are not necessary for the information sessions.  To learn more click here or call 541.322.3100.
