OSU-Cascades Hosts Final Information Sessions for 2011 Graduate Program in Counseling

OSU-Cascades is hosting the final in a series of Information Sessions to introduce interested individuals to the master of science in counseling program.  In the sessions, prospective students learn about the graduate counseling programs' requirements and admissions procedures, as well as the application process and deadlines.

Students can select from a part-time, three-year program or a full-time, two-year program.   The part time and full time programs use a cohort model where students take the same classes at the same time.  Students concentrate in either school or clinical mental health counseling and as part of the curriculum, devote 15 months to field experience in a public school or community agency setting.  Since the program has been offered at OSU-Cascades, master of science in counseling degrees have been awarded to 66 graduates in Central Oregon.

Information sessions will be held in Cascades Hall at OSU-Cascades on College Way in Bend:

Noon  – 1:30 p.m. .................................................................... Wednesday, November 3

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. .............................................................. Saturday, December 4

The application deadline for the 2011 cohort is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.  Classes begin in June 2011.  Reservations are not necessary for the information sessions.  To learn more visit http://www.osucascades.edu/academics/counseling  or call 541.322.3100.
