OSU-Cascades Tourism and Outdoor Leadership Professor on KOHD-TV News
OSU-Cascades' Tourism and Outdoor Leadership Professor Kreg Lindberg was on KOHD-TV News' Direct Connect segment at 6:45pm on Monday, December 7, talking about his recent “It’s in The Bag” lecture topic, “Biking and Quilting for Joe the Plumber”. Lindberg conducted surveys of visitors at the 2009 Road Racing National Championships and Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, and analyzed the economic benefit of the events, demonstrating the links between tourism and other local economic sectors.
Lindberg teaches and conducts research in tourism and outdoor recreation, with a particular focus on economics and ecotourism. He has a Ph.D. in forest social science with a minor in economics from OSU and a master’s from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
