Central Oregon Snow Pack Report

South and North Sister

Hi Folks,

Over the past few weeks, Cascades Adventures snow pack reporters have been busily collecting data & familarizing themselves with snow pilot computer software. Because of these circumstances, the Snowpack report has not been updated. As the new school quarter begins, we hope to get into the swing of things and start posting bi-weekly. Thanks for your understanding.

If you are in the backcountry and happen to witness an avalanche or compile any data from stability tests or data pits, please feel free to send your information along to Jeffrey Myers. With your help, we can provide a greater synopsis about the conditions on slopes in the backcountry. Thanks.

Attention:

THIS IS NOT AN AVALANCHE FORECAST! This page contains the snowpack observations compiled during Cascades Adventures outings into the backcountry around Central Oregon. All observations are collected and reported here by qualified Cascades Adventures Trip Leaders. The information provided here simply provides an insight into the conditions of the snow pack and should not substitute a thorough field test, specific to the area you are traveling. The insight and reports here do not apply to resort areas.
