Student Leadership Opportunities
Students helping students succeed...
This is your chance to get involved in helping your fellow students succeed while you build your own set of skills and experiences that will serve you as you move beyond OSU-Cascades. All students will have access to leadership training workshops and conferences with the other students involved in these programs. Check out the opportunities below and contact the appropriate person. We want you to thrive while you are here and will do our best to make that happen!
ASCC: Student Government
Winter 2011 is almost here! It is time for all future student leaders to inquire about being on next year's Student Government, the Associated Students of Cascades Campus. Student Government is a great place to learn leadership skills and an excellent opportunity to feel like a part of OSU-Cascades student life while helping out fellow classmates.
If you have questions and would like to speak to an OSU-Cascades student government member please check their web site.
Contact: ASCC President Jessica Corrales at ascc.president@osucascades.edu.
Student Fee Committee
This is a committee of 5-7 students who make the official recommendations to the state on behalf of the students of OSU-Cascades on how your student incidental fee funds will be allocated. Service on this committee involves a commitment of approximately 1 hour per week at the weekly meetings. The time commitment is a bit higher during the fee request hearings in January (2 hrs per week). Not only are you building budgeting and civic service skills, but serving on this committee is a fundamental opportunity to shape what services, programs and activities are available for the students on this campus and will create the future legacy of OSU-Cascades. These positions are paid $10/hr with a maximum of 15 hours per term. For more information visit the Student Fee Committee page or see the application form here.
If you are interested in applying for 2010/11 positions, please contact Andrew Davis.
