Student Leadership Opportunities

Students helping students succeed...

students talking This is your chance to get involved in helping your fellow students succeed while you build your own set of skills and experiences that will serve you as you move beyond OSU-Cascades. All students will have access to leadership training workshops and conferences with the other students involved in these programs. Check out the opportunities below and contact the appropriate person. We want you to thrive while you are here and will do our best to make that happen!

Associated Students of Cascades Campus

Fall 2007 will be the start of something new and exciting at OSU-Cascades! Until now, we have not had a full student government to represent the student voice on campus, and provide students the chance to practice their skills of organizing, public speaking, leading, and entrepreneurship.

We are now accepting applications for 2008/09 positions. Applications for candidacy are due Friday, May 2nd, 2008 by 5:00PM. For more information see the job descriptions, interest flyer, and application form.

If you have questions and would like to speak to an OSU-Cascades student government member please visit them during their weekly meeting or office hours.

Student Fee Committee

This is a committee of 5-7 students who make the official recommendations to the state on behalf of the students of OSU-Cascades on how your student incidental fee funds will be allocated. Service on this committee involves a commitment of approximately 1 hour/ week at the weekly meetings. The time commitment is a bit higher during the fee request hearings in January (2 hrs/ week). Not only are you building budgeting and civic service skills, but serving on this committee is a fundamental opportunity to shape what services, programs and activities are available for the students on this campus and will create the future legacy of OSU-Cascades. These positions are paid $10/hr with a maximum of 15 hours per term. For more information see the application form.

The application procedure for spring 2008 is now closed. If you are interested in applying for 2008/09 positions, please contact Jacquie Coe.
