Master of Arts in Teaching
Few professions have the potential to impact lives like teaching.
A good teacher can have a lasting and positive effect on student's lives beyond the classroom, helping young people grow socially, emotionally and preparing them for a successful future.
At OSU-Cascades in Bend our teaching program allows you to pursue your master's degree in a vibrant city set in a beautiful area. The program gives you exceptional in-classroom instruction using a cohort model, where students form strong bonds as they progress through their coursework together.
The program also provides field experience within local districts, where OSU is considered the partner of choice.
Hear from MAT graduates:
MAT graduate Chris Muller is starting his second year of teaching in Mexico City
Erika Strauser earned a degree in civil engineering, but after volunteering with a local youth group, she realized that working with youth is what she was meant to do.
The graduate teaching program at OSU-Cascades is nationally accredited by NCATE, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
Applications due December 1, 2013. Classes begin summer 2014.
