Development Director Joins OSU-Cascades Campus

Nov. 19, 2009

The Oregon State University Foundation has named Julie Hotchkiss as director of development for the OSU-Cascades Campus, effective Jan. 4, 2010.

Hotchkiss has worked in nonprofit development for more than 17 years, including three years as director of development for the Deschutes River Conservancy and a decade with the High Desert Museum in Bend. She previously served as director of planned giving for Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina.

Hotchkiss will be based at OSU-Cascades in Bend and work in close collaboration with Becky Johnson, Vice President for the campus. We couldn't be more pleased to have Julie come on board, Johnson said. She offers a broad understanding of development work and has extensive connections throughout Central Oregon.  With the right investments, our campus can really make a difference in Central Oregon, and I'm confident that Julie will help us get there.

OSU-Cascades Campus is experiencing significant growth, jumping nearly 20 percent in enrollment this fall.

I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to lead the fundraising efforts for the OSU-Cascades Campus, Hotchkiss said. Central Oregon is a thriving part of this wonderful state - its vitality will only be enhanced as OSU-Cascades continues to attract students, faculty and the support of our community.   I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help ensure the success of OSU-Cascades and contribute to the future of Central Oregon.'

Hotchkiss holds an undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., and a law degree from Washington & Lee University, Lexington, Va.
